Perfect your skills and master new techniques

The School offers a unique opportunity for anyone who enjoys cooking to perfect their skills and master new techniques through a variety of innovative courses led by Cookery School Head Chef, Ben Taylor.

Macaroons – Half Day

Thursday 2nd March

In this course, you will learn the techniques, the tips and the right way of making simple but elegant macaroons. You will also prepare the fillings to be sandwiched in your macaroon, along with the finishing touches.

The course includes arrival tea/coffee, pastries, lunch, recipe folder, all ingredients, cookery school bag and use of chef’s jacket and apron.

Morning course: 9:30am arrival; course starts at 10.00am, finishing at approximately 2:00pm. This is a half day course which costs £75 per person.

Steak Night

Thursday 2nd March

Who doesn’t like a good steak and chips? It’s a classic meal that will impress anyone when cooked to perfection. Learn about the different cuts of steak, what to look for when buying, and how to tell if your steak is rare or well done. We will also cover how to make the now famous triple cooked chips, along with some tasty sauces and salads to accompany your perfectly cooked steak.

This evening course costs £50 per person and includes a steak dinner and a glass of wine. The course to starts at 6.30pm and finishes at approximately 8:30pm.

Gluten Free Cooking

Tuesday 7th March

Being wheat intolerant should not limit the choice of foods available to you. On this course, you will learn to create a variety of delicious breads, cakes and bakes on a par with their wheat heavy counterparts.

This course includes arrival tea/coffee, pastries, lunch, recipe folder, all ingredients, cookery school bag and use of Chef’s jacket and apron. This is a full day course which costs £175 per person.

Michelin Magic with Hywel Jones

Thursday 9th March

For the twelfth year running, our Executive Chef Hywel Jones has retained his Michelin Star. We would like to congratulate Hywel and his team here at Lucknam Park as this achievement is something we are all very proud of.

We are celebrating this exciting news with a Michelin Magic cookery course with the man himself.
