Andrew McPherson, joins Lucknam Park with a wealth of experience from his 20 year career across the hotel industry. His previous roles include General Manager at Holbeck Ghyll Hotel, Lake District, Swinton Park, North Yorkshire and Skibo Castle, Scotland.
What inspired you to work in hospitality?
When I was 14 the landlady at the local pub enthused, inspired and encouraged me into hospitality and a management degree course at Bournemouth.
Who do you aspire to be like
Jose Mourinho – because he is going grey and can still look cool!

When not at Lucknam Park, how do you spend your time
Wandering around the local fields calling ‘Daisy, Daisy, Come Here.’ ( I guess you should mention that my dog is called Daisy!)
I am currently aiming for the RYA Yacht masters certificate and often take the opportunity to race dinghies at local sailing clubs or take out windsurfers when weather permits.
Should there be no wind, I have been known to wield a golf club but prefers clay pigeon shooting.
Anything that matches a Vosne Romanee or a Gevery Chambertin.
