  • Darjeeling Tea

We now offer a special Darjeeling afternoon tea, supplied by local expert Deepali Gaskell of Heritage Tea.

Bath resident Deepali Gaskell really knows her Darjeeling. Her passion for the fine teas from that region is inspiring.

“Their varied flavours, from estate to estate, and from picking to picking, ensure there is a Darjeeling for every occasion.”

    Darjeeling First Flush – £6.95

Plucked from the very first early morning leaves of spring, this rare, much-awaited Tippy First Flush tea offers a classic gentle aroma and a subtle sweet leafiness on the palate.
Winner, Taste of the West Gold award, 2016

    Darjeeling Second Flush – £6.95

Second flush teas are picked during the summer months when the tea plants have grown back more vigorous. Deepali has selected this  high-grown Second Flush with a well-rounded flavour- full-bodied yet delicately floral on the nose.
Winner, Taste of the West Silver award, 2015.

    White Darjeeling – £6.95

This White Tea, semi-fermented and pan-fried, is selected by Deepali from bushes growing above 4,000 feet; it has a delicacy on the nose that balances the light dryness on the palate, and the leafy after-taste lives long in the mouth. Comprising only the buds and youngest leaves and known for its detoxifying and anti-oxidant properties,
it is an ideal ‘any time of day’ drink.
