Dawn Cameron, Equestrian Manager
Working history
I have been a keen equestrian all my life and have been coaching and competing from a young age. I enjoy helping people and love it when they are happy, so hospitality was a natural progression for me.
What are your top tips on what to do whilst staying at Lucknam Park?
Eat and de-stress, have a treatment in the Spa, get on some bikes and explore the estate, and of course, come and visit us at the Equestrian Centre for a chat, if not for a ride.
What is your favourite thing about working at Lucknam Park?
I love to enjoy the estate. The landscape is everchanging and beautiful whatever the weather or time of year.
What is your favourite spot at Lucknam Park?
I never tire of riding up the tree lined avenue on horseback, keeping an eye out for the deer and the red kite soaring above the trees. The walled garden is a close second when the delphiniums are in full bloom with the lovely scent wafting from the rose garden.
Best thing to see or do in the local area?
I think visiting Bradford on Avon with all its local history, eating places, and the canal and river walks is a hard place to beat.
How do you spend your time when you’re not at Lucknam Park?
I spend most of my spare time breeding horses and travelling to equestrian competitions with my daughter. I’m also a keen gardener and enjoy cycling and walking.
What is your favourite cocktail?
It has to be a Champagne cocktail or two, followed by a lie in!
