Lucknam Park Cookery School

The award winning Lucknam Park Cookery School is led by Welsh Chef of the Year 2016 Ben Taylor who, in conjunction with Michelin Starred Executive Chef Hywel Jones, has designed an exciting and informative range of courses for 2016. The cookery courses are hosted in our purpose built Cookery School which is located in a small house on the Estate, just a short walk from the hotel. Numbers on each course are limited to 12 in order to ensure that each participant gains the maximum benefit and attention from the chef. From classic Michelin Starred techniques, traditional Italian seasonal recipes to the latest trends in Street Food there is a course to suit all abilities and palates.

Full day course registration begins at 8.30am the courses start at 9am, Half day course registration begins at 9am and the courses start at 10am, finishing at approximately 2pm and Full day courses finish at approximately 4pm. The courses include arrival tea/coffee, pastries, lunch, recipe folder, all ingredients, cookery school bag and use of a Chef’s jacket and apron.

Chef’s Table includes a Champagne and Canape reception, 5 course menu with wines matched to each course by our Sommelier, coffee and petits fours, arrive 6.30pm for 7pm, finishing at approximately 10pm, maximum of 12 guests.

Steak Night includes a steak dinner with a glass of wine. Arrive at 7.00pm for the course to start at 7.30pm finishing at approximately 10pm.

Supper Club starts at 6.30pm and finishes at approximately 8pm.

Evening Demonstration course includes glass of wine and canapés, starts 6.30pm, finishing approximately 8pm.

Saturday Kids Club runs from 10am to 12pm for a child and accompanying adult.

    August 17th – Fish Knife Skills – Half Day. Learn the basic skills of filleting and skinning round and flat fish before moving on to some more adventurous cuts and preparations such as ‘troncon’ and mousses.     August 20th – Tempting Tapas – Anyone who has visited Spain will no doubt have enjoyed Tapas. Dish after dish of tasty little local specialities all served as sharing plates bringing together Family and Friends.     August 31st – Seasonal Italian – Learn to create easy seasonal Italian dishes and the art of pasta making in this course. This course will illustrate the rich diversity of Italian cuisine and the importance that pasta holds within its culinary landscape.  £175. Book Now

    August 17th – Evening Demonstration – Join Ben for a mini masterclass as he demonstrates some dishes that are popular in both of our restaurants.     August 23rd – Speedy Suppers – With the hectic pace of live it’s always good to be able to deliver food big on flavour, simple to make and speedy to deliver. Learn a repertoire of seasonal dishes that will ensure the midweek meals are healthy, hearty and delicious. £175. Book Now

    August 25th – Introduction to Patisserie – Learn the basics of choux pastry, piping of choux éclairs and choux buns, filling them with light Chantilly cream and a glaze of melted dark chocolate.
