Our ‘AA 5 Red Star’ service is reliant on the recruitment of team members who are dedicated to hospitality and have a desire to deliver consistently high standards. Career development and promotion within the team is encouraged and proactively managed throughout the property.

In addition to our 5 Red Star rating we also pride ourselves on our Michelin star (Restaurant Hywel Jones), 2 rosettes in the more informal Brasserie and the Visit England Gold Award.     Restaurant Hywel Jones

    Head Waiter – full time position working in the Michelin starred ‘Restaurant Hywel Jones’.  Previous experience in a comparable restaurant, minimum 3 rosette, excellent food and wine knowledge required with experience of leading, developing and motivating a team.

    Chef de Rang – relevant experience within a minimum 3 rosette restaurant is required with a strong knowledge of cheese and wine.  Ability to deliver an excellent level of service with a keen eye for detail, immaculately presented and a team player.

    Commis – we are offering a full time role within the Michelin starred team.  An understanding of service standards and a passion to learn and develop within the hospitality industry are required.

    Breakfast Waiter/Waitress – required to work 25 hours/per week between 7am and 1pm as per the rota.  Responsibilities will include taking orders, ensuring items are delivered in a timely manner, charging to bills, lounge service, room service and laying the restaurant for dinner service.

    The Brasserie

    Brasserie Waiter/Waitress – full time position working a variety of shifts over 5 days/week.  Previous experience of working in a food and beverage operation would be an advantage.  Ability to deliver an excellent level of service is essential along a passion for hospitality.


  • Gardens & Grounds Team

    The gardens of Lucknam Park are spread over 5 acres and are set within an impressive estate of 500 acres of listed parkland. Our estates team work hard to deliver exceptional gardens, grounds, riding paths and kitchen garden. The work they do is varied and enjoyable and they love to interact with guests whilst they are out and about.

  • Front of House

    In this department you are often the first and last point of contact for guests and your interaction with them is what they will remember. If you love delivering excellent customer service, are naturally warm and welcoming and happy to deal with the many and varied aspects of a front of house role then we would love to hear from you. We do request that our front office team are fluent in English, take a pride in their appearance and happy to work shift patterns.

  • Housekeeping

    The unsung heroes of any hotel team, their diligent daily work delivers bedrooms and public areas that are exceptional for each and every guest experience. If you enjoy team work and physical endeavours this is a great department to join.

    Room Attendant – full time – working 35 hours a week over 5 days including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.  Responsibilities include cleaning and presenting bedrooms and public areas to a high standard.  Manual role which involves bending, lifting and carrying.  No experience required but a keen eye for detail, self motivated, team player and a proactive approach to work.

    Room Attendant – part time working 3 days per week (to be agreed at interview) – responsible for ensuring that bedrooms and public areas are cleaned and presented to a high standard.  Keen eye for detail, self-motivated and a proactive approach to work are necessary.  Please be aware this is a manual role which involves lifting and carrying.

    Linen Porter – 2 day/week – we have an opportunity for someone to join Housekeeping team for 2 days a week, days are negotiable.  The main responsibilities of the role are to accept the linen delivery and ensure all of the cupboards around the property are stocked with linen, toiletries, water and bedroom amenities.  This is a very manual role which involves a lot of lifting and carrying including stairs.

  • Spa

    Set within the estate’s 500-acres of unspoilt parkland, The Spa is totally at one with its surroundings incorporating wood, marble and glass to reflect the warn seasonal hues of the outdoors.

    Spa Therapist – 2 days/week to include one day during the weekend – Essential you are experienced and qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Beauty, enjoy doing massage and are a team player.  Rate of pay is dependent on level of experience.

    Spa Therapist – full time position working 5 days over 7 as per rota.  Level 3 Beauty qualification required as well as experience within a spa/salon carrying out a variety of treatments.  Keen eye for detail, excellent presentation and an engaging personality are essential.

    Spa Attendant – working 40 hours per week over 5 days, you will be responsible for ensuring that the spa is cleaned and presented to a consistently high standard, replenishing stocks and responding to adhoc guest requests.  No experience is necessary but a keen eye for detail, proactive approach to work and being a team player is essential.


  • Equestrian Centre

    Our full size all weather arena allows riders to hone their riding skills in dressage and jumping, whilst the lunge arena is perfect for individual lessons.

    Junior Groom – full time role working 40 hours over 5 days.   As a member of our Equestrian team you will be responsible for delivering a consistently high standard of service to our guests and liveries ensuring needs and requests are met in a professional and timely manner.   A B.H.S qualifications or similar experience is essential to fulfil this position as well as a desire to develop and progress.


  • Sales and Marketing

    Events and Sales Coordinator – working 40 hours a week, predominantly Monday to Friday but some flexibility required.  Responsibilities include department administration, preparing function sheets, menus, communicating details to departments.  A keen eye for detail, knowledge of computer packages and fluency in English (verbal and written) required.

  • Management Trainee

    Management Trainee – we are offering a 2 year management trainee programme. During this time you will work for 5 months each in the Brasserie, Housekeeping, Front Office and Restaurant Hywel Jones.  In addition to these modules you will spend time within other areas of the hotel such as Sales and Marketing, Kitchen, Spa and HR to ensure you have an excellent understanding of the hotel.  This programme is designed for someone who has either studied hospitality or has experience within a single department and wants to pursue a career into management.  We anticipate that successful completion of the programme will result in a Supervisor/Junior Management position.
