Our ‘AA 5 Red Star’ service is reliant on the recruitment of team members who are dedicated to hospitality and have a desire to deliver consistently high standards. Career development and promotion within the team is encouraged and proactively managed throughout the property.

In addition to our 5 Red Star rating we also pride ourselves on our Michelin star (Restaurant Hywel Jones), 2 rosettes in the more informal Brasserie and the Visit England Gold Award.   • Kitchen

    Opportunity – we are looking to recruit a Chef to join our team, we would like to receive applications from candidates working between Commis and Chef de Partie level at minimum 2 rosette level.  Full time position working 48 hours/4 days a week – salary will be dependent on level.

    Pastry Sous Chef – working 48 hours over 4 days.  Requires previous relevant experience at minimum 3 rosette level, Michelin starred experience would be advantageous.  Great opportunity for someone specialising in Pastry who wants to develop and progress.

    The Brasserie

    Brasserie Waiter/Waitress – full time position working a variety of shifts over 5 days/week.  Previous experience of working in a food and beverage operation would be an advantage.  Ability to deliver an excellent level of service is essential along a passion for hospitality.

    Main house

    Bar and Lounge Waitress/Waitress – full time position working 48 hours over 5 days.  Duties include ensuring the lounges and public areas are presented to a high standard, serving pre and after dinner drinks and afternoon tea and lounge service.  Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, excellent guest service skills and a in depth knowledge of alcoholic beverages.

  • Gardens & Grounds Team

    The gardens of Lucknam Park are spread over 5 acres and are set within an impressive estate of 500 acres of listed parkland. Our estates team work hard to deliver exceptional gardens, grounds, riding paths and kitchen garden. The work they do is varied and enjoyable and they love to interact with guests whilst they are out and about.

    Senior Gardener – Full time role working Monday to Friday, to fulfil the Number 2 position in the department you will require extensive previous experience along with an excellent knowledge of gardening methods and plants.  Previous experience of leading a team and relevant qualifications will be advantageous. This is a very manual role and the team work outside in all weathers.

  • Front of House

    In this department you are often the first and last point of contact for guests and your interaction with them is what they will remember. If you love delivering excellent customer service, are naturally warm and welcoming and happy to deal with the many and varied aspects of a front of house role then we would love to hear from you. We do request that our front office team are fluent in English, take a pride in their appearance and happy to work shift patterns.

    House Porter/Concierge – working 40 hours over 5 days as per the rota.  Diverse role where no 2 days are the same, duties include taking and collecting luggage from cars/bedrooms, laying fires, tidying public areas, valet parking cars, setting up meeting rooms.  A full driving licence is required for this role due to the need to valet park guest cars.

    Receptionist – full time role working on a rota basis including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.   Experience within a comparable role would be advantageous.  Skills required – excellent guest service skills, attention to detail, experience of computer systems, ability to multi task and remain calm under impression.  You have 5 seconds to make a great impression!

  • Housekeeping

    The unsung heroes of any hotel team, their diligent daily work delivers bedrooms and public areas that are exceptional for each and every guest experience. If you enjoy team work and physical endeavours this is a great department to join.

    Weekend Room Attendant – working Saturday and Sunday, total 14 hours, you will be required to clean bedrooms and bathrooms and ensure they are presented to a high standard.  Please be aware this is a manual role involving a lot of lifting and carrying.

    Room Attendant – full time role working 35 hours/week to include weekends, evenings and Bank/Public holidays.  Responsible for cleaning public areas, guests bedrooms and bathrooms and ensuring they are presented to a high standard at all times.  This is a very manual role which includes a lot of lifting and carrying.

    Turndown Assistant – 5 days a week, working 7pm to 9.30pm.  Responsible for tidying guest bedrooms, replenishing items and presenting the room to a high standard to create a WOW when the guest returns.  Requires a proactive approach to work, keen eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines.  This is a manual role that involves lifting and carrying.

    Part Time Room Attendant – due to the high levels of occupancy we are looking for additional Room Attendants to support the team.  The hours of work are 11am to 3pm, 5 days/week including weekends.  Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. This is a manual role involving lifting and carrying.   We are looking for people that are team players, have a proactive approach to work and a good eye for details – our guests expect perfection.

  • Spa

    Set within the estate’s 500-acres of unspoilt parkland, The Spa is totally at one with its surroundings incorporating wood, marble and glass to reflect the warn seasonal hues of the outdoors.

    Spa Attendant – working 40 hours per week over 5 days, you will be responsible for ensuring that the spa is cleaned and presented to a consistently high standard, replenishing stocks and responding to adhoc guest requests.  No experience is necessary but a keen eye for detail, proactive approach to work and being a team player is essential.

    Spa Receptionist – working 40 hours/week on a rota basis.  Previous reception experience is essential, experience within a spa would be a distinct advantage.  Duties include welcoming guests, performing showrounds, booking treatments and dealing with guests requests.  Well presented, ability to cope under pressure and multi task, fluent in English – written and verbal.

    Spa Cleaner – working 5am to 7am, 5 days/week.  You will be responsible for ensuring that the Spa and pool areas are cleaned to a high standard including deep cleaning.  Please be aware this is a very manual role.  Previous Spa/Pool cleaning experience would be a distinct advantage.

  • Equestrian Centre

    Our full size all weather arena allows riders to hone their riding skills in dressage and jumping, whilst the lunge arena is perfect for individual lessons.

    Apprentice – a full time position working 40 hours over 5 days as per rota. We are looking for an enthusiastic, horse loving team member to join the successful equestrian team as an Apprentice.  Previous experience with horses, either your own or in a yard, is essential.  Great opportunity to work whilst gaining qualifications.

  • Management Trainee

    Management Trainee – we are offering a 2 year management trainee programme. During this time you will work for 5 months each in the Brasserie, Housekeeping, Front Office and Restaurant Hywel Jones.  In addition to these modules you will spend time within other areas of the hotel such as Sales and Marketing, Kitchen, Spa and HR to ensure you have an excellent understanding of the hotel.  This programme is designed for someone who has either studied hospitality or has experience within a single department and wants to pursue a career into management.  We anticipate that successful completion of the programme will result in a Supervisor/Junior Management position.
